Mary Ann Drury Campbell

I met Mary Ann and Walter 32 years ago. They were my son, David´s, estimable and devoted 1st grade Sunday School teachers at the Falls Church and lively, faithful members of the Wednesday morning Bible class. When at length Walter died, Mary Ann lost her amiable life partner in a most companionable marriage, but with the support of her loving family and friends, soldiered on bravely and carried on with faith in Jesus. I am so grateful for her serene faith, hope, and love.

I always felt welcome in the Campbell home since they moved back to Arlington in 1975. The food and fellowship were great and I remember getting a Fannie Farmer cookbook as a wedding gift! Realizing that she and Walt were sweethearts since school days in London helped me appreciate them even more as we celebrated his life in Arlington, and then as he was laid to rest in London.
