Of Fenton, age 81, passed with family by her side, Thursday, September 13, 2012. Funeral service will be held at 11am Monday, September 17, 2012 at Calvary Apostolic Tabernacle, 1013 Hughes Avenue, Flint, Pastor Keith McKinnies officiating. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Calvary Apostolic Tabernacle or American Diabetes Association. Visitation 1-8pm Sunday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. Mary Lou will be at the church 10am Monday until the time of the service. Mary was born in Manila, Arkansas on March 27, 1931, and lived in the Flint area most of her life. She married Odis Canaday on June 4, 1954. She was a member of Calvary Apostolic Tabernacle for over 30 years. She worked as a nurse's aide at Chateau Gardens for over 10 years. Surviving husband of 58 years, Odis; children, Garry, Jimmy (Linda) and Michael; daughter-in-law, Laurie; six grandchildren, Aaron, Rachel, Andrea, Cameron, Chloe and Olivia; and great-grandson, Jackson.
