Mary Capone SAYLORSBURG, PA Mary Capone, 97, of Saylorsburg, PA, died on Nov. 20, 2017, in New Eastwood Rehabilitation and Healthcare in Easton, PA. Mary was born Nov. 20, 1920. in Wind Gap, PA. She was the daughter of the late Leonard and Anna Dell'Alba. Mary was the devoted wife of Nicholas Capone, who passed away April 4, 1981. Mary worked at various blouse mills, but most of her working years were at Valerie Fashions, in Wind Gap, PA, as a forelady. She and her husband also owned and ran Victoria Fashions in White Haven, PA. Mary's greatest joy was loving and caring for her family, especially her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking, baking and preparing the best holiday meals for everyone. Mary is survived by her loving children, who adored her: Beverly Wilson and her husband, Troy, of Union, KY, Sandra Kay and her husband, Donald, of Wind Gap, and her devoted son, Dale Capone and his wife, Carmella, of Saylorsburg. Mary had seven grandchildren, Vicki Binkley and her husband, Dan. of Ohio, Dale DeThomas and his wife, Sally, of Ohio, Jodi DeBiasio and her husband, Jack, of California, Lisa Parello and her husband, Scott, of Illinois, Gary Houck and his wife, Karen, of Bangor and Nicholas Capone of Wind Gap. She had 14 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews. Mary also had two devoted caregivers who loved her dearly, Tippi Tassara and Jane Owens. She was preceded in death by her two brothers, Joseph and Leonard Dell'alba and her two sisters, Adele Torquati and Rose Wessman. Mary also loved her church, never missing a Sunday until becoming ill. She was a lifelong member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Wind Gap where she taught Sunday School, and was a former member of the ECW. A Celebration of Life for Mary will be at St. Mary's Episcopal Church, 340 N. Lehigh Avenue, Wind Gap, 11 AM on Saturday, Nov. 25. There will be a visitation beginning at 10 a.m. until time of services at the church. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Mary's name to St. Mary's Episcopal Church, P.O. Box 365, Wind Gap, Pa. 18091.
