Mary Miner CARSON

CARSON, Mary Miner profoundly loved by her family and all who encountered her, passed away peacefully on February 11, 2018 at the age of 92. She was born on April 13, 1925 in St Cloud, Minnesota to William and Marie Miner. As the second of four girls she developed her abiding love of nature and the outdoors as a child living on Lake Blanche, MN. Mary made her move to Tucson in 1945 to marry Howard Bremond. She fell in love with the desert and made it her home for the remainder of her life. She was actively involved in the Tucson community as a member of the Junior League, a Sunday school teacher and Altar Guild member at St. Philip's In The Hills Episcopal Church, a member and past president of the TMC Auxiliary, and a member and past president of the board of the Visiting Nurses Association. She is predeceased by her parents, her husbands, Howard Bremond and Jack Carson; her sisters, Rachel, Sally and Betty and two grandsons, John and Robert Bremond. She is survived by her children, Elizabeth Mikesell (Max), Ann Sullivan (Michael), John Bremond (Paulette) and Judy Scharf (Bill) as well as by her stepsons, John Carson (Giovanni), Rick Carson (Kim) and Christopher Carson (Leslie) and by her foster daughter, Becky Macko (Joel Summer). She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at St. Philip's In The Hills Episcopal Church at 3:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family recommends that donations be considered to the St. Philip's Preservation and Endowment Foundation, Community Food Bank or the Audubon Society.
