Mary ‘Marie’ (Connell) Chaput, 94, of West Harwich and formally of Southborough died on November 12, 2004 at the Epoch Senior Care Center in Brewster after a period of declining health.

She was the daughter of the late Edward V. Chaput who passed away in 2001, and the mother of the late Katherine C. Bartolini who passed away in 2002.

Born in Framingham, she was the daughter of the late John J. and Catherine A. (Rowan) Connell.

Mrs. Chaput was an administrative assistant at the former Cushing Hospital in Framingham for over 20 years. She was a former active member of St. Matthew of Southborough and a member of Holy Trinity Church of West Harwich. She was a member of the Friends of the West Harwich Library and a former member of the Southborough Women’s Club and Friends of the Southborough Library.

She leaves a son E. Mark Chaput and his wife Beth of Martha’s Vineyard; a daughter Alice M. Rabeni and her husband John J. of N. Eastham; a son in law Ronald Bartolini of Marlborough; five grandchildren, Renee Minahan of Framingham; John A. Rabeni of Windham, NH; Anthony Rabeni of Martha ; Dominic C. Bartolini of NYC; Jeffrey P. Bartolini of Marlborough; four great grandchildren Meegan & Jillian Minahan, Isabella and Ava Rabeni and 7 sister-in –laws Rita Estella of Natick; Alice Kosciuszek of Littleton; Doris Marston of Eastham; Dolly Werner of Millis; Toni Musgrave of Spring Hill , FL; Anne Baker of Marlborough; Midge Chaput of Framingham and many nieces and nephews

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, November 24, from 9 to 10:30 AM at the Morris Funeral Home, 40 Main Street, Southborough.

A Mass of Resurrection will be held on Wednesday, November 24, at 11 AM at St. Matthew Church, Highland Street, Southborough, burial will follow in the Rural Cemetery in Southborough.
