I entered Basic Training as a Military Police at Fort McClellan, Alabama and MG Clarke was the Commanding General there at the time. We also attended the same High School, West High in Rochester, NY. Rest in peace madam!

Ken and I remember how awestruck we were the night we met Mary. She must have realize it, because her smile and gentle laugh put us at ease.My Dad spoke of her acomplishments often, always ending with, I know her brother.
Although it has been years since we've seen each other, please know that you and your family are in our prayers.

I'll miss MG Clarke and I’ll keep her family in my prayers. MG Clarke provided an example for each of us women and supported us when we needed it. As long as I can remember MG Clarke, set the example and provided guidance for the Woman Army Corps, the US Army and the United States. My sincere condolences to her family, friends and comrades. I was stationed at Ft McClellan during General Clarke's command tenure - I held one of the flags for the change of command ceremony and will always cherish that memory. RIP Gen. Clarke . . .
