Mary Eleanor Coble

I recall her as Mrs. Means from San Benito High School. She was my summer school Algebra teacher back in 1990. I had to take the 1st semester over. And I ended up passing w a high grade .. in order to move to 12th grade!.. She was nice and patient.. I remember she would send us to the Blackboard to solve problems. ..lol. Rest in peace and condolences to her family

It was my pleasure to know Mary; I was the Director of the Literacy Center of Harlingen for more than 30 years and I first met Mary when she became a volunteer teacher there. I thoroughly enjoyed conversations with Mary, learning about her life, and it was immediately apparent to me how much she loved teaching.
