Mary's fr5iendship goes back 46 years when I began KCC in 1979. She was one of several women who provided transportation to choir rehearsals, concerts, banquets, and summer picnics. She accomplished so much in her life and was a woman ahead of her time. I enjoyd listening to her velvety alto voice when she recited poems at concerts and imagine being one of her elementary students in one of her reading circles. Mary was one of my favorite people, she always had a warm smile and a hug. I will miss her and her wonderful voice. Singing with her was such a pleasure . Preyers to you and your family.

I so enjoyed singing with Mary in the Kalamazoo Community Chorale. She was a mighty singer and a real asset to the alto section. I remember her gentle kindness and zest for life. I will fondly remember her

Mary was a beloved friend who provided transportation to Kalamazoo Community Chorale rehearsals, concerts and banquets. I often enjoyed hearing her narrations of her poetry at concerts and am so happy to have one of her poetry books as a memento. I can imagine how her elementary students must have looked forward to her reading them stories. I will miss her very much. May many happy memories of her console all of us. Sincerely, Sandra Fortier Carmel, IN
