My heart and Pastor James A. Jones & Lady Connie Jones and entire Mt.Pleasant Baptist Church Family is saddened at the passing of our loving and compassionate and dutiful former treasurer. Sister Mary Eva returned to her home church and picked up working in various capacities after her career in New Jersey. We will miss you Aunt Mary! You were a wonderful and loving aunt! I remember coming to your house when I was little and smelling coffee brewing. I couldn´t drink it then but grew up and couldn´t wait to drink it.I will always drink it and remember you always. We love you and will miss you. (PS I still have the pearl necklace you gave me when I was little) Rest easy. You have earned your crown.

Class, grace, and elegance - Mary Eva Cousins personified them all. "Pa Britt said, class yourself," and she did exactly that. Somehow, the brilliance, love, and grace she carried ensured that no one ever felt less than in her presence. "Aunt Mer´eva" was the heart of my Greene Golden Girls, and she will forever be missed and lovingly remembered.
