Our mother, Mary Crain, passed away May 15, 2009. She was born in Detroit April 2, 1917, the fifth of seven children. Her parents emigrated from Bulgaria, joining family in Michigan.
The family moved to a farm in Hobart, Oklahoma, where Mary grew up. She married William C. Crain in 1943...

The memories you were able to capture in your announcement are beautiful. They remind me of the Petcoff family that I have come to know and love.
As we continue to lose our members of this "greatest generation" we can only hope to be a reflection of the good they did for us (their children and families), their communities, and the world.

Mom - Compassionate in everything she did - spectator sports or washing the clothes in a ringer washing machine - it was always done completely and with a level of dedication and compassion which I only hope I can duplicate in the manner I live my life.
