Mary Kathleen Kinney Crawford, 84, passed away June 10, 2021. She was born in Burbank, California on August 27, 1936 to the late Virginia M. & John R Kinney. She was married to the late Lt. Col. John D. Crawford, Sr. for 45 years. After attending Holy Family in Glendale, California, Mary went on to X-Ray school where she became an X-Ray Technician. Mary grew up in Southern California where she met her husband and traveled the country as a miltary wife and mother. She always made the many houses we moved to a warm home. After moving back to Jacksonville, she became an entrepreneur opening the "Mary, Mary" Shop where she sold many unique items & antiques. She became involved in many volunteer organizations with military families, the church and local organizations in each new city she moved, including St. Vincent De Paul, & Life Line. Mary had many lifelong friends from all over the country, many of whom she shared the love of the game of Bridge . She will be missed by her beloved four children, John D. Crawford Jr. (Karyn), Laura Miller (Charles), Virginia "Ginny" Kammerer (Ronald), and Mary Crawford; six grandchildren, Tommy Bailey (Kristen), Caley Crawford, Nathan Cramer, Hannah, Ryan and Meghan Miller & brother John R Kinney. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am Thursday, July 1, 2021 at Assumption Catholic Church with Pastor Father Jason Trull officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at Assumption, prior to the funeral. Interment will be at a future date at Arlington National Cemetary. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St Vincent de Paul of Assumption Parish.
