To the family of Mrs. Curley, I'd just like to send my belated condolences. I was the writer who worked on her memoir, 'What Happened Instead.' Just once, I had the honor of meeting Mrs. Curley at the apartment in New York. She made an indelible impression on me and I continue to think of her often. The visit was arranged by our editor, Trisha Thompson of Small Batch Books. At that point, I was so deeply immersed in her story that she'd become this legendary figure in my mind....

We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of this wonderful lady who supported many groups and charities over the years. Mary left a great legacy in our small community in Newport Co Mayo which will not be forgotten for future generations. The time myself and James rip James had a recorder and we taped a cat and put recorder in box Mrs curly caught us and she thought the cat was not getting air .she got a good laugh out of it

Taitsie was a great lady, a dear friend and is sadly missed. So many good memories.
