As the Spring Semester rapidly approaches, I was looking forward to seeing Mary again as my professor. This would have been my third class with her. She was also my advisor and I truly feel that she would do anything to help me in achieving my goal to become a teacher through the Early Childhood Education Master´s Program at Westfield State. We often exchanged emails and I will truly miss those. I was shocked and surprised to hear of Mary´s passing. She was an inspiration to all of us...

I was so sorry to hear about Mary's passing. She touched my life incredibly at Westfield State. She was my advisor/professor for four years. I admired Mary deeply. She was an angel on this Earth and I will miss her!

To Peter and family, Mary is such a huge loss to the educational community. She was the herald bearer of best practices for the most fragile population, the early childhood world. And she was the best. My heart goes out to you Peter, in this loss. Too much, too soon. Love to you all, and peace.

May the love of your family and friends be of some comfort to you
