Mary C. "Marie" DiFonso

Mary "Marie" C. DiFonso, 75, of Jeannette, died Friday, Nov. 15, 2002, in Jeannette District Memorial Hospital. She was born Dec. 28, 1926, in Columbus, Ohio, a daughter of the late Adolph and Elizabeth Wamos Vossburg. Marie was a member of Ascension Church of Jeannette and its Rosary Altar Society. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a daughter, Susan Elaine DiFonso; a sister, Louise Mangan; and two brothers, Fred and William Vossburg. She is survived by her husband, Dominick Frank DiFonso; two daughters, Jeanne Fontana and husband, Thomas, of Jeannette and Lori Stull and her husband, Lt. Col. Alan Stull, of Texas; two sons, Gary DiFonso and wife, Kim, and Daniel DiFonso and wife, Wendy, all of Jeannette; a sister, Peggy Hicks and husband, Mason, of East Brady, Pa.; two brothers, Tom Vossburg and wife, Jessie, of Strattanville, Pa., and Joseph Vossburg and wife, Dorothy, of Florida; seven grandchildren, Michelle and Thomas Fontana, Jessica, Dominick, Adrienne, Andrew and Miranda DiFonso; a great-grandson, Vincent DiFonso; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the JOHN V. GRAZIANO FUNERAL HOME INC., 228 N. Second St., Jeannette, beginning Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. in Ascension Church with Father John Foriska as celebrant. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Hempfield Township. The Ascension Rosary Altar Society will pray the rosary Sunday at 3:30 p.m. in the funeral home.
