There was an additional church she attended during the 1960's : Pasquo Church of Christ. She educated many people about nature. She taught a couple of bioloagy classes at UT Nashville. She taught herself taxidermy. Her specialty was taxidermy of snakes. The Nature Center at Warner Park was recipient of numerous specimens. David Lipscomb University as well. She was a " Nature Girl" her entire life.

For a long time she was my best friend with so many common interests, all but the snakes. I spent many nights at their home and graduated high school together. With my husband in the Navy we were separated and were never able to reconnect. I am deeply saddened to hear of her passing.

Mary was one of a kind. She will not be forgotten!

So many remember her on horseback

She had a full life.

Mary was a great mentor and friend to my whole family. She taught me how to ride and she gave my little sister Becky Jo her first horse. A pony named Salty. She also taught all 3 of my children to ride. Spending a lot of time with my oldest son Kelsey. She taught us many things about nature as we rode and always spent time teaching us along the way. I was in awe of her always. After I moved out of town I always made a point of seeing her and going riding with her whenever I visited. She was...
