I always will remember Aunt Catherine as the fun-loving, "feisty" one of my aunts. She always had a big smile and a twinkle in her eye. Since she and her family lived in Washington state, we seldom had the opportunity to see them. When she and Uncle Andrew and the cousins were able to come to Kentucky, it was special indeed.
Cousin Betty and I tried to keep in touch with letters. As time went by and our lives changed, our fun times became faint memories. Rest, Aunt Catherine. God...

In memory of Mom.
It's difficult to know what to write about a person I've known for 66 years. Too many memories to list or count. Even though we've lived apart for the past 50 years, the letters and phone calls, the once or twice a year of visiting with her, still kept us together. The love doesn't stop.
Now sleeping and resting in death, and I can't see or hear or touch her, she is still, and will forever be, my mom. I look forward to seeing her awaken here on earth under...

I miss you already grandma,I know you were ready to be with the Lord,I was just not ready for you to go. I will be joining you when the Lord decides its my time, so don`t rest those pretty little legs, we will be dancing and praising God for eternity. We were all blessed to have you. God is so good, even in our sorrow he reaches down into the very depth of my heart and comforts me, simply because he loves us, I will miss you, You are living the life God created us to live. Forever with him!! I...

I will always remember Aunt Catherine's smile and laughter. When she would visit the farm, we could always count on a good laugh (until our sides hurt).
We will all miss her. May God comfort you in your loss (and His gain).

Dear cousins, It is sad to me that Aunt Mary Catherine is gone from our presence. Max and I enjoyed so much our brief visit with Aunt Cathy, Uncle Andy, and Annette (and the poodle) when we were in Spokane a few years ago. We took Aunt Cathy out for dinner -- we never did find the restaurant she had in mind but after about 45 minutes of searching we just stopped somewhere and ate! I will always remember the twinkle in her eyes when she teased, and that beautiful smile.
So many...

I'll always remember the look in your eyes whenever you laughed or smiled, which was often. Thank you for letting me play your organ and for giving me my first guitar.

I have good memories of visiting Grandma & Grandpa on Crestline when I was a child. My Dad & Mom would pack all of us kids in the car for a 6 hour trip to Spokane. My Dad did not stop until we got there. I remember the bathroom upstairs smelled so good. I remember that Grandma & Grandpa had their own bedrooms because they both snored so who ever fell asleep first kept the other awake. I remember waking up in the morning to the smell of coffee. I do miss her. I'm sending positive...

I remember aunt Catherine from my very young years. When we would receive a letter telling of her arrival in Elizabethtown our lives would brighten. Pap's old car had to be washed and the inside cleaned for the trip from E-town to our old farm. I always enjoyed her stories, told as she and Dad would sit and reminise. Sometimes she would stop, cover her mouth and laugh about something that had happened as a child. That unforgetable smile that seams to go with the Powell heritage was...
