Not sure what to say?

I sang with Mary Eileen at Lakewood United Methodist Church back in the late ‘70’s/early 80’s. She was the soprano soloist and I was the alto soloist. We sent Christmas cards to each other every year. I did not hear from her last year and wondered how she was.
I was so sorry to discover that she had passed away this past February. She was always very kind to me and a bit of a mentor to a young singer.

I remember her so fondly! She was my choir teacher at Collinwood when I was in 7-9 grades. I´ve been thinking of her lately (mostly when I´m singing) and just decided to look her up on line- that´s when I found her obituary. I am so sorry for her family´s loss, but know that she has stayed in my memory for many years!

I am so touched by the outpouring of love and respect from Mary Eileen’s students! I want to thank you all. Mary Eileen was my mother’s cousin. While we were growing up mom would point out that the Christmas concerts on tv were Mary Eileen directing the choir. I think we watched them every year. My mother and Mary Eileen weren’t in touch during those years but later in life they connected and became good friends. Mary Eileen gave my mom the chance to enjoy the world of theater and travel. My...

Mary Eileen and I taught together at the Cleveland school of Science for many years.
We had a group of teacher friends
there and we ate lunch together and laughed together.
She was an extremely talented woman.
I miss her every day.
God bless you Mary Eileen.
I know you are singing with the angels in heaven.

My deepest condolences to Ms Fogerty´s family. I was in choir at John Marshall in the 1970s and Ms Fogarty taught me so much. She helped me believe I could try out for all city choir and I did AND I made it. The music we made was amazing and her song choices were off the hook- Mood Indigo, Shadrack, Meshack and Abendego to name a few. I will forever be grateful to her.

Mary Eileen was my mother’s cousin. We really didn’t get to know her until after she had retired and she and my mom became traveling companions. Mostly Mary Eileen treat! My mom raised nine children and there was little time or money for anything else. They went on many trips and went to see many plays and musicals. They became good friends, I always say she was Mom’s fairy god cousin.
How wonderful that so many of her students remember her so fondly she would be very pleased.

I had Miss Fogarty for Glee Club from 1975 to 1977. She was a wonderful teacher. She made Glee Club fun and made me appreciate music. RIP Miss Fogarty I'm glad you touched my life.

Ms. Fogarty was a much beloved vocal music teacher at John Marshall. I had the pleasure of being in choir and glee club all 3 years I was at Marshall (78 - 80) . I also saw a performance of a show she did at B.W. She was brilliant. Heaven has gained a singing angel.

I knew Mary Eileen at the Ren, where my mother lives. They were friends. I adored Mary Eileen, we just got along well. My deepest sympathies for her family and friends, I know I will miss her, and was glad to have known her.
