NAUGATUCK: Mary Ellen P. (Stevenson) Esposito, 61, entered into eternal rest on January 18, 2016, at Griffin Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Louis Esposito.
Mary Ellen was born in Derby on July 26, 1954, daughter of the late Joseph and Ann King Stevenson. She resided in Derby and Seymour before moving to Naugatuck four years ago. She was employed in the office at Farrell Corporation in Ansonia and later as manager for U.P.S. in Stratford for twenty seven years until her retirement. Mary Ellen enjoyed flower gardening, boating, jet skiing, fishing, motorcycle riding and was an advocate for rescuing dogs.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a brother, Gregory Stevenson of Oxford, a sister, Suzie Stevenson of Seymour, mother in law, Ceil Esposito of Derby, canine buddies, Emme, Benny and Rocky and many friends.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday January 22, 2016, from 4-8 pm in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. On Saturday, her funeral will be held at 9:15 am from the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at St. Mary's Church in Derby. Burial will be private.
