I worked for Mary Ellen in the 70's when I babysat her children Danielle and Dustin. We became good friends during that time.

To Mary Ellen's family: we met Mary Ellen several years ago at Cowboy Poetry in Elko, Nevada, and later at a conference in Tennessee. She had a vibrant, down-to-earth personality. We will remember her for that. Sincerely, Ray and Mindy Kahle

Mary Ellen was my counselor nearly 20 years ago when I was going through a hard time in high school. I have never forgotten the impact she had on my life. I don't know if I would be where I am today, or even still here at all, without her. She was truly a life-saver and I credit her for helping me overcome the biggest obstacle I've ever faced. I'm so very sorry for your loss and I hope it gives you some sort of comfort to know she made such an impact on so many lives.
