Mary at our Wedding 41 years ago

To Walter and Family,
When we heard the sad news of Mary's passing, just couldn't beleive it! She was so much part of our lives especially our years together in Lansing as part of the Jug & Mug Ski Club, where Bob and I met. She was our maid of honor when we married 41 years ago. What I remenber most is her great sense of humor, we were always laughing about something.

IN ADDITION TO BEING A CLASSMATE,MARY ELLEN LIVED TWO BLOCKS FROM ME ON N.PINE ST.AND ALWAYS THANKED ME FOR THE RIDE TO SCHOOL ON COLD MI.MORNINGS.SHE WILL BE MISSED.SORRY I CAN'T BE THERE.

Mary Ellen was such a beautiful person, inside and out. She will be missed by us all. Bill Brindle 57

Mary Ellen Rau Eyke Senior Picture 1957

How I remember that wonderful smile and wonderful personality of so many years ago. Fun memories of walking home from school and sharing in simple things. I will always remember her as the truly lovely person she always was. My deepest condolences to Walter and the family.

To Walter and family,
Mary Ellen was a special person to many of us. She will be missed. I'm sorry I can't be there for the memorial. I'll be there in spirit.
With sadness and sympathy.

She was one of the brightest and cheerful personalities I've ever met. I enjoyed visiting with her at the last regular meeting of St. Mary graduates on November 29th. She solved a genealogy issue on my family and she knew the person involved...
