McNally & Watson Funeral & Cremation Service - Clinton Obituary

CLINTON

Mary M. (Moore) Fallon, 88, died Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at home, surrounded by her loving family, following a long illness.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Thomas F. Fallon; a son, Thomas F. and his wife, Anne Fallon, of Leominster; a daughter, Mary C. and her husband, Mark Laverdure, of Clinton; five grandchildren: Mark Laverdure, Fallon Wright and her husband, Daniel, Courtney Laverdure and her companion, Daniel Bey, all of Clinton, Thomas & Matthew Fallon, of Leominster; and four great-grandchildren: Olivia, Liam, Camden, and Quinn. She was predeceased by her two brothers, William Moore and Thomas Moore.

Mary was born and raised in Clinton, the daughter of Domenic D. and Julia V. (Kittredge) Moore. She was a graduate of Clinton High School, Class of 1945, and the former Clinton Hospital School of Nursing, Class of 1948.

A Registered Nurse, Mary worked for several years at Marlborough Hospital, and Clinton Hospital. Following the birth of her children, she then worked as a private duty nurse for many years before her retirement.

She was a life member of St. John the Evangelist Church and a member of the MA Nurses Association. Mary always loved the ocean and so enjoyed time spent on Cape Cod and in Sarasota, Florida. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, who cherished every moment spent in the company of her family.

Mary's family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to her caregivers for their kindness and compassion, among them: Barbara Chafin, RN., Kathy Clark, Gina Gannon, Beatrice Noncent, Eliana Semra, Andy Walker, Maria Williams, and with very special thanks to her niece, Karen Moore Mello, and her husband, Tony, for their unwavering support.

Funeral services are private. There are no calling hours. McNally & Watson Funeral Home, 304 Church St., Clinton, is directing arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial donations be made to a charity of one's choice.
