Not sure what to say?

I knew Mary Elizabeth and her family for over 40 years. She was like a second mother to me and I will sorely miss her. My condolences to Carol Anne, Jimmy and Billy and to all who knew and loved her.

Mary Ferrell - A hero for our times. There will never be another.

We love you and miss you.

My "guru" Carol Anne (Mary's daughter) first introduced me to Mary in the early 1980s. I spent many fascinating hours at Mary's house on Holland Avenue, discussing an eclectic range of subjects, from the Manson Family to Edgar Cayce, with many anecdotes from Mary's own life leavened into the mixture. I greatly regret that Mary did not write an Autobiography. The task of writing a biography would be quite challenging for anyone else, as this researcher, historian, bon vivant and freethinker...

A great woman. Very appreciated among the French researchers community.
All my condolances to her family.

Mary,

I will never forget all of the help that you gave me with my research over the years. Rest in peace.

Mary's presence will be missed by all those who knew her. Her interests were varied, her wit and intelligence sharp, and her personality strong and vital. The phrase carpe diem was applicable to Mary's life; she was deeply engaged in living each moment of every day, and in the world and people around her. Her passing creates a deep loss for her family and her many friends and admirers.

Mary was unfailingly kind to me and I will always remember her with great affection. The world is a less interesting place without her.

To Mary's family -

It was my pleasure to know Mary during her last years at Locke Purnell. I spent some of my most memorable moments at her home shortly before I left my employment there; it has been one of my most sorrowful regrets that she and I lost touch in the ensuing years.

She was simply facinating, and my heart goes out to you all in this time of loss. If Miss Mary had lived to a thousand, it would still be too soon for her to go.

Mary Ferrell was a great American, and I am proud to have known her. My sincere condolences to Carol Anne and her entire family.
