I was a student of Mrs. Folkema's at Taft Elementary in '85. I will never forget the kindness she showed me when I faced an obstacle at school that had me in tears. I ran into her at the grocery store just a few years back, and made a point to introduce myself and tell her how much I appreciated her. I am so glad I did, her face lit right up!
