Mary Theresa Gaines

So sorry to hear about Mary's passing. Mary began working on bringing the Burger King to Durango in 1976. We were partners from that moment on. We opened the BK on July 29, 1977. We'd first met in Boulder in '75 via the Democratic Party. Unfortunately we eventually grew apart, but I always thought the world of Mary and miss her and our memories that we did indeed share for years. Mary will be missed at north City Market, she was nice to visit with.

My condolences to the family of Mary Gaines! I used to take care of her special orders at North City Market, and became friends from all the years of her shopping at our store. I always looked forward to seeing her, and visiting with her. She always had a smile, and a sweet hello! I will always cherish the friendship we had!

I will remember Mary as a strong and independent lady with a great sense of humor. She will be missed.
