Not sure what to say?

So sorry for your loss. She was an amazing teacher and friend to her students. I always enjoyed seeing Mr.and Mrs Geerlings at community events. One of your students. Jill Slusser Diller. Class of1965 R.P.H.S.

Ed and family, Ron and I were so saddened to hear of MaryJane´s passing. She was quite a gal and we will always remember all the good times we had at our boys baseball games and also never forget the great time at the U of M/ IL football game in our "Illini" van! We had many laughs back then and will cherish them.

Sincere condolences to Ed and family. Mary Jane and my late wife were friends and shared a love of books with each other as well as sharing the books.

Ed, Mary Jane was a wonderful person and I cherish all the memories we (Karen and I) we enjoyed together! Karen passed two years ago and she loved you guys. Sending heartfelt condolences to you as you begin a new life chapter. Rose Arbor is where Karen slipped away peacefully.

Mary Jane Geerlings was, without a doubt, the best teacher I had in all my years at Reeths Puffer. She had a special way of teaching that gave me the desire to learn. She and Ed, who was my science teacher, came to our 50th class reunion on the Port City Princess. What good sports they were to make that effort, even though she was trying to recover from a bad cold. Mr. Geerlings...Thinking of you and your family at this difficult time.

Mary Jane was a wonderful neighbor, friend and volunteer with the United Way of Muskegon County. She was a dedicated UofM football fan and each Saturday in the fall she would proudly hang her blue and maize flag out to show her support. I on the other hand would hang my green and white flag out in support of Michigan State. In between our homes was a fan of Ohio State and he too would hang his flag out. Neighbors having some friendly competition. Ed, may God's Spirit comfort and support you...

I loved sharing books with Mary Jane when we were neighbors. Our heartfelt condolences to Ed. Doris & Don Helmus

Condolences to Mary's loved ones from Barney and Janet Sutherland. Mary was a great teacher and will be missed.

I had the pleasure of being one of her first students at RPHS. She was a great teacher, and a fantastic person.
