I'M SO SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS. MARY (YAI-YAI) WAS SUCH AN ELEGANT WOMEN. HAVING KNOWN HER AND MR. GEKAS WAS A WONDERFUL EXPIERNCE. I AM TRULY IMPRESSED OF THE GREAT CARE & LOVE YOU TOOK IN CARING FOR YOUR PARENTS THROUGH THEIR "GOLDEN YEARS". I STARTED CALLING HER "YAI YAI" AFTER HAVING HAVE SHARED HER MANY STORIES AND OUR GREEK CULTURE TOGETHER! GOD BLESS YOU ALL. AS IN THE BIBLE IN THE BOOK OF MATTHEW: "WELL DONE MY GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT"

I first met Mary and John Gekas in Tucson in 1952.Mary was an inspiration to me and everyone who knew her. A big piece of Tucson died with Mary. She will rest in peace.

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well-lived.

I loved her as my aunt, I respected her for her integrity, and I'll always remember the strength of her character. She was a Grecian Heroin out of myth about ethos.

We are sorry that we can not come out to be with you all. But Aunt Mary is in all our prayers. Love Aunt Helen Marion, Millie

It's been a long time since I've seen any of you Gekases, but I remember Mary well: I can still hear the din of a stack of dinner plates I dropped just as she burst into the kitchen at the Coat of Arms. She was a force of nature! My best to you all.

We are grateful to GOD that gave us Mary for so many productive years. It will be difficult for any one to takr her place.. may she rest in peace throught out eternity. a grat queen goes Home
