Mary Carless Wright Given

Mary Carless Given, March 24, 1922, passed away August 26, 2009, at Friendship Rehabilitation Center, Roanoke, VA. She was born in Bluntville, Tennessee to the Reverend Mr. & Mrs. Onnie Carless Wright, a Methodist Minister who served several churches in the Holston Conference, over his lifetime. Mary attended Emery & Henry University in Virginia graduating with a Teachers Degree and taught in the elementary school systems in Rural Retreat, Wythville, Bedford and Stewartsville.
