Not sure what to say?

Jane built a community school in the truest sense of the term. She taught her staff how to create a welcoming environment in which every student and their family, staff, and supporting community member felt uplifted and excited to learn together.

Jane was my principal my second year of teaching. She was a sincere and caring mentor to me. She guided me in how to become a better teacher, and I used that knowledge for the next 30+ years that I taught. She had a love for and a unique acceptance of all kids she encountered. She knew how to engage her staff to become leaders. She always availed herself to support all of us. Best of all, she taught us how to laugh when teaching became tough. To say that she changed my life is an understatement. Jane single handedly shaped me into the person I am today, without her love and support I wouldn´t be here today. I will always cherish Jane and hope to be a fraction of the women she was. I will never forget her and will always remember her fondly.

Jane was an inspiration to me when I was a young teacher at Immaculate Heart. She forged a community and helped us be our best. I also have so many fond memories of time with Jane and Marvin at their homes in Portland and Neskowin. I´m grateful to have known her. Louise Fullerton

My condolences to Mary Jane's family, especially to her stepdaughters Lisa and Karin who were classmates of mine nearly 60 years ago. My heart goes out to you all.
