Not sure what to say?

I crossed paths with Mary many times and in many places through our shared involvement in bird banding. She was even gracious enough to host me at her home while I attended a local conference. I was truly sorry to hear she had died; the world is a better place for having had her in it.

Miss you Mary Beth! We will continue to celebrate your legacy as a photographer, your achievements in documenting the avian members of our world, and your kindness to others to mentor and teach. We share a grounding in science, love of nature, and good laughs over "Far Side" cartoons. Your inner drive and your unique talents are admired and will be remembered when we see a skilled rider in one with her horse, feel the softness of a gray rabbit, or hear the beat of a hummingbirds wings. ...

I knew Mary mostly in grade school. And I remember going to a slumber party in elementary school I believe at her house, and we had a midnight snack. I thought that was so cool! Mary always was friendly and had a big smile to share! My deepest condolences to the family.

Hi Barb, Mom (Norma) and I send you our deepest sympathies and many prayers. What a wonderful woman Mary was. Mary Ann Meaker
