Reichel Funeral Home - Northampton Obituary

Mary Ellen Hager, 81, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest. She was the wife of the late John E. “Jack” Hager. Born October 6, 1942, in Norton, VA, she was a daughter of the late Herbert Roy and Essie Mae (Flanery) Hall. Mary was a gentle, kind, and sweet lady who never met a stranger, she didn’t like, spoke kindly of everyone, and most of all loved her son and family deeply. She will be missed by all, but our memories of her will live on in our hearts. Mary had many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. She was loved and cherished by her great-nieces and nephews, and to many became another grandmother. Goodbye for now sweet Mary, until we meet again in Heaven.

Survivors: son, Kevin J. Hager; sisters, Shelby Jean Lane (William), Linda Schaffer (Duane), and Anna L. Jacobus; brothers, Roy H. Hall (Barbara), James H. Hall (Michelle), and Ronnie Hall. Mary was predeceased by two brothers and a sister.

Services: Family and friends may call on Wednesday, January 24th from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. in the Reichel Funeral Home, 326 E. 21st St., Northampton. A prayer service will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will be private. Online condolences may be offered below.
