Not sure what to say?

I will miss her. She was a sweet and kind lady. Being a daughter-in-law was something special and I only regret falling out of touch over the years and not being able to make things easier for her. She held the family together and endured many sadnesses. I remember the special times, the crocheting, and playing cards, food, and the love and patience I always felt from her. She always saw the hope and possibility of every new baby. She was special to me even if it didn't work out the way...

The loss of such a wonderful aunt is very hard. She was a big part of my brother and my life when we were growing up. She was loving, caring and very special.

I was Mary's next door neighbor at the
Crestview apts in Colorado Springs. I
moved to Newport, N.C. a little over
a year ago but stayed in contact with Mary until recently. We had some good times together..Went out to eat and went to a few yard sales. She was noted
for her strawberry dessert that she would always bring to the Saturday morning brunch or monthly pot luck.I still gaze at the beautiful Indian Maiden she crocheted for me..
I will miss her but I know I...

I knew the big Halstead family living in a modest house in Colorado Springs in the 50s and 60s. Bobby was a friend. Mrs. Halstead raised eight kids, something most moms today couldn't even cope with. She's from another era, another time in America.
