Mary Harzinski Obituary
Born in LeContes Mills to Richard and Elva (Weimer) Martell on Oct. 17, 1936, Mary survived Polio as a teenager and became the polio poster child for Clearfield March of Dimes.
Mary fought hard to stay active throughout her life. She loved her family - being a mother and grandmother as well as a caring daughter to her parents. She enjoyed taking neighbors to McDonald's daily - starting when her grandson worked there, playing bingo and cards, and sharing her home with all her four legged companions throughout her years.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Mary Kay (Rishel) Leidhecker; a sister, Ella Jane Fulmer; a close sister-in-law, Kay Martell, and son-in-law, Mark Owens.
She is survived by her brothers Richard "Jim" Martell, Kenny (and wife, Penny) Martell; her daughter, Ruth Ann (Rishel) Owens; her son-in-law, Karl "Butch" Leidhecker; grandchildren, Jason Grumblatt, Heather Kovalick, Holly Olson, Lindsay Owens, and Brandon Owens; as well as eight great-grandchildren and one newly-born great-great granddaughter.
Services will be private at the request of the family. In lieu of flowers, Mary wished donations to be made to the SPCA, 275 21st Street, Clearfield, PA 16830.

Mom, I miss you. You have been a role model to me of love of family, strength and courage. After so many years of pain and struggles you are finally at peace. Say hello to Mary Kay, grandma and pappy, and tell Mark I love him.

Rest in Peace Aunt Sis, we will all miss you here for sure, but knowing where you are in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ, I can only imagine what beautiful things you are seeing and doing, no more stuck in that chair, I can see you running for the first time in a long time.
