Not sure what to say?

I knew Mary from when we were both at Betsy Barbour. We kept our friendship for many years and I and my husband Alan also knew and loved John. I always admired Mary's energy - she never stopped. I have only just read her obituary and was sad to hear of her death.

To all the family members I am so so sorry. She will always be with you though just like John is. I know you will "carry her heart in your heart" FOREVER right along with John.

John was my attorney and what a wonderful man. He always talk of Mary and you knew their love was so deep. They both did so many good helpful things. What BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE. I will never forget either one of them NEVER

We will NOT be holding the memorial celebration on Sunday May 17 due to the coronavirus. Please share this cancelation announcement with Mary's friends and family. She would want everyone to stay safe.

My condolences to the family. I myself just learned about her passing. Mary and John were two awesome caring people. They took my family under their wings when we first arrived here in the United States. They later on took on a more challenging job and didnt give up on taking in a young lady. Thank you both for everything. Good bye Mrs. Mary, you will be missed by everyone.

My deepest sympathies and condolences to the family. I am sorry for the tardiness of these thoughts but only just learned of Mary's passing. It was my privilege to get reacquainted with her a few years ago at a family gathering. I found her to be a lovely, caring soul. I know she will be missed.

What a lovely remembrance of Mary. I am one of many whose life was brightened by my relationship with Mary, and one of many who will miss her sorely. May her memory be a blessing to her loving family.

I grew up near the Hathaways and Mrs. Hathaway was truly the neighborhood mom. Always kind, always welcoming to all of us kids and I'm so sorry to hear that she is gone.

Deep sympathies to Mary's children!
She was a wonderful and very nice lady.
During the early 1960's, while I was in high school,
I had the pleasure of frequently babysitting the children while Mary and John went to dinner or evening events.
Sincerely,
Rita Mulholland Yeager

We will miss Mary but are fortunate to have wonderful memories of times spent together. Our sincerest condolences, Myrthe Naparstek and Rodman Doll.
