Mary E. Heard
Mary E. Heard, 96, of Pen Argyl, PA, formerly of East Bangor, PA, passed away Monday, January 15th, at Lehigh Valley Hospice House, East Stroudsburg, PA.
Mary was born in East Bangor, PA on December 27, 1921, a daughter of the late Frank and Mary E. (Miller) Stenlake.
She was the widow of Bruce Heard, who passed away in 2005. Mary was also preceded in death by her first husband, Jack Jewell, with whom she was married for 50 years, and passed away in 1988. Mary and her first husband owned and operated Jack Jewell's Service Station in East Bangor, PA, until retiring in 1968 and moving to the Yukon for the next 20 years. She was a 1940 graduate of Bangor High School
Mary is survived by a son, Larry Jewell, husband of Shirley, a brother, Barney Stenlake, 2 grandchildren, Jonathan Jewell, husband of Michele; and Jeffrey Jewell, husband of Lori, 1 great grandson Conner Jewell, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister and two brothers
Family and friends are invited to call 6 to 8 PM on Wednesday, January 17th at the Gaffney Parsons Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 4 Lillian Lane, "Village of Johnsonville", Bangor, PA.
