Mary Ellen was the epitome of true
beauty that came from her physical
presence which was complimented by her
joyous, kind and selfless spirit.

RIH Beautiful Lady. It was a pleasure to cross paths and you will always be remembered.

I would like to extend my deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Mary Helen during this difficult time of loss of a beautiful and loving lady. I also met Mary Helen in the 90's when she was affiliated with Peninsula Sickle Cell Association. My deepest sympathy goes out to the family, friends, colleagues and neighbors on the passing of the beloved Mary Helen. Her hospitality was world renown. She is sorely missed.

I write extending my sincere condolences to family and friends of Mary Helen.

I met Mary Helen through Judy Brathwaite while serving as a committee member of the Peninsula Sickle Cell Anemia Association's African American Festival in the 90's. The meetings were so much fun yet professional. Mary Helen's commitment to this event left and inedible impression on me.

Gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.

An incredible loving woman with a beautiful smile. I have nothing but fond memories of her. Prayers for family and friends.

I only met Mary Helen once at her fabulous restaurant. Her food, service and atmosphere was extraordinary. I did know her mother, Mrs. Thomas, as an educator in my earlier days in school.
I extend my sincere condolences to each of the family members. May your fond and unlimited memories of Mary Helen bring you smiles and peace.
Be blessed and encouraged.
