It was not unusual for her to stay outside until dark picking vegetables, many of which were taken to friends and neighbors. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Rebekah Hinton Haynie and Robert Michael Haynie; several nieces and nephews, many cousins, friends; and her devoted pet, Missy. She also had two devoted friends and caregivers, Thressa Lewis and Betty B. George, who helped care for her at home and during previous hospital visits. Friends may call 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Currie Funeral Home, Kilmarnock. Memorials may be made to Mid-County Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 355, Heathsville, Va. 22473.
