We received word today about Mary's death, and are very saddened by that news. Yet, we rejoice in being greeted by her (and others) when it is our turn to enter Heaven, and meet our Lord and Savior face to face.

I am so sorry to learn of Mrs. Holfer's death. She was a very special lady with a very big heart and great sense of humor. I loved to hear her tell the story of how she and Mr. Holfer met. She was so spry when I last saw her in March. She was excited about the coming spring.
I wish you comfort as you cherish the memories of your time together.

I'm sorry for your loss. Our loved ones who have died have a hope for the future. We can read about that hope at John 6:40. I hope this thought brings you comfort at this difficult time.

Mary welcomed me into her family as a Grandchild and that will never be forgotten. Many wonderful memories with Mary and Jack will always be in my heart, and a smile on my face. What a wonderful, full life she lead. May God bless you all!

The NC Museum of History will always be grateful for the many hours Mary gave to us as a volunteer. I will always remember her happily stuffing and sending out numerous packets of information for teachers and students several days a week during fall and spring seasons. She was a lovely woman and she will be missed. We send heartfelt sympathy to all of her family.

Thanks for this opportunity to participate in this way toward remembering such a beautiful person, my Aunt Mary. I of course remember her laugh, her devotion to family and that she always stayed in touch with me, one of so many nieces and nephews. Yes, the last of that generation, those who birthed mine, and thus the lineage continues. What a blessing she was!
