Remembering the brilliant and kind woman.

Tom, Going through photos and seeing you and Mary; smiles, laughter and complete kindness. Too many years have passed, I am sorry I missed her and you these last years. You were frequently thought of. My condolences on your lost beloved. Blessings, Connie

I met Mary in 1969 at the summer session of the Phillips Exeter Academy. A very warm, very special person. I remember what a kick she got out of duckpin bowling. My heartfelt condolences to her family.

Mary, I have many fond memories of going to Holbrook Palmer Park with you, Andy and Emily along with my twins Kevin and Heather. We were very proud mothers of fraternal twins and this gave us a special bond. I admired how you put your children before your medical career and how much you volunteered in the schools and community. I am sorry I did not see you in recent years but I always smiled when I walked by your house and saw your Volvo in the driveway thinking Mary still lives here.

Dear Tom, Andy, Emily, and Robert,
I was deeply saddened to hear of the passing of such a wonderful wife, mother, and person as was Mary. We knew her as an ever-present force majeur in scouts, soccer, and especially in so many music programs and contests. Her ability and advice on organizing events was truly amazing and kept me out of trouble on many occasions. The community and the world is much emptier place without Mary Hom's larger than life presence. You have our heartfelt...

I went to high school with Mary and I even though I never saw her again, I remember her! She was smart and friendly. I'm sad to hear about her pain in the last years, but I'm sure she was comforted by a wonderful family. This is truly a beautiful obituary.

I didn’t know Mary well when we were at Lowell high school together but we reconnected when she came to Mt Zion Hospital for residency where I was a nurse. As she learned the blessings and curses of birth, life and death as a new doctor she faced the challenge and fear with firm determination hiding her insecurity. She learned and grew into Dr Hom with confidence. I haven’t seen her in so many years but I hope her rest is in peace and pain free.

Deepest sympathies to the Cooper and Hom families. From the Greg Takahashi family.

Please post any photos or memories on our family's memorial website: https://www.weremember.com/mary-hom/2x1m/memories. Thank you kindly! ~Emily (Mary's daughter)
