I only knew of "M" from her dear friend Charlene Whitcomb a classmate of Mary's. Charlene's pride in her friend's accomplishments and strength of spirit were to be admired. "M's" loss is a huge one to many.

Dear Dean, Pam and Family,
We did not know your sister, but are very aware how deeply you cared for her. She was a very talented artist and a great educator. We know she will be missed by everyone. Our prayers are with her and you and your family.

I didn't know Mary for long but she made a lasting impression on me. Her courage and fighting spirit were an inspiration I will carry with me forever.

It was with great sorrow that I learned of Mary's passing. I rarely got to see her, but she was often in my thoughts. I intended to send her a Christmas card this year, but alas, I didn't.
