News Death Notice

HUSSONG, Mary Ann (nee Finn) age 77 of Beavercreek , passed away on January 1, 2009. She was born to the late Philip and Geneva (Patten) Finn in Cleveland . She is also preceded in death by her son Frederick "Rick" Hussong III and her sisters Phyllis Finn and Alma Franks. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Fred Hussong; daughters, Maribeth (Jeff) Sipniewski, Monica (Matt) Byrd; sons, John Hussong, Michael Hussong; grandsons, Steven Sipniewski, Robert Sipniewski; sisters, Sister Mary LeRoy SND, Jackie Ryba; brothers, Phil Finn and Bill Finn, and numerous nieces and nephews. Mary Ann was a graduate of the University of Dayton where she was also a former Assistant Dean of Women. Inspired by her love of children, Mary Ann taught as a substitute teacher in the Beavercreek schools, and then full time in the Dayton public school system, retiring in 1993. She was very active in her local community and in St. Lukes parish. She was a member of the American Association of University Women (AAUW). Mary Ann will be affectionately remembered by all who knew her. The family would like to thank Fidelity Medical Services for their longterm support and care, especially the homecare provided by Tracy, Debbie, Cathy, and Sharon. A Prayer service will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, January 8, 2009 at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-BEAVERCREEK CHAPEL, 3970 Dayton Xenia Rd. at Grange Hall Rd. and a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am at St Luke Catholic Church, 1440 N. Fairfield Rd. Fr. Terry Schneider, Celebrant. Interment Calvary Cemetery . The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, January 7 from 5-8 pm.
