When our mother was very ill, and in and out of Butterworth Hospital many decades ago, I had a conversation with a nurse who comforted us. I never knew her name, but I never forgot the expression of concern and hopefulness on her face. Just today, I realize, without any doubt, that is was Nurse Mary Hydrick.
