JACOBS, Mary - Of Swartz Creek, age 90, died Saturday, September 15, 2007 at Avalon Hospice. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10AM Thursday, September 20, 2007 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, G-3139 Hogarth Avenue in Flint, Father Robert F. Copeland officiating. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Those desiring may make contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 332 N. Lauderdale, Memphis, TN 38105 or Avalon Hospice, 2360 Stonebridge Drive, Flint, MI 48532. Visitation 6-8PM Tuesday, 1-4 and 6-8PM Wednesday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. A Rosary will be prayed at 7PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Mary was born in Flint, Michigan on November 4, 1916, the daughter of Robert and Rachel (Paul) Esia and was a resident of the Flint area all of her life. She attended St. Pius X Catholic Church. Surviving are 3 sons, Norman and wife Betty of Swartz Creek, John and wife Camille of Flushing, David and wife Janet of Swartz Creek; daughter, Rosemary and husband RC Wilcox of Swartz Creek; 5 grandchildren, Sarah and Christopher Hempsall, Rachael and husband David Lewis, Lisa and Jay Johnson, Nicholas Jacobs, Shannon and Matthew Jacobs; great-grandchildren, Kyrie and Zachary Hempsall, Ashley and Adrian Johnson, Jacob and Emily Lewis.
