Mary-Jo and met in graduate school at Binghamton more than 50 years ago, where she was studying Medieval Lit, while I was in Medieval History. We became friends quickly and roomed together at (or shared a bathroom in the old dorms) at WMU medieval congress aka Kzoo. She introduced me to the Lit folks, taught me the trends, and I did the same for her with Historians. My young daughter would hear me talk about Mary-Jo...alot.
