Not sure what to say?

I am so saddened by the news of Mary Jos passing. I met her when we were part of a three week tour of Kenya and Tanzania in Africa in August 1976. We immediately struck up a friendship because we both loved wildlife and were overcome by Africas beauty. I am in the process of moving and I found some photos of our African trip in the back of a closet. Your family is in our thoughts. We are so sorry for your loss. Be strong and hold on to the memories. Jayne and Jerome Sternweis, Castle Rock Lake neighbors.

So saddened to hear of Mary Jo's passing. She was a smart, skilled attorney who handled several family legal issues for me. I will always remember her gentle voice and our quick Loop lunches after court esp. in Daley Plaza at Christkindl Market. I so enjoyed our casual talks about our children, Ravinia, Amtrak special deals, and comparing notes on how our tomatoes were doing! She brightened our world. She will be missed.

My deepest sympathy to all of you. She was always a joy to be with. Im sorry I will not be in town to celebrate her life on Wednesday but my thoughts will be with you. She will be missed by so many

Mary Jo was like a ray of sunshine, as a classmate at St. A's. So considerate, so kind. Our hearts go out to her family; we're thinking and praying for you. - John & Mary Lynk

What a wonderful woman. Smart, funny and a nurturing mom. You all are in our thoughts.

I met Mary Jo through my book club and was struck immediately by her genuine and kind nature. There are some people that you feel a connection with because of their warmth and openness. Mary Jo was one of them. She will leave a gaping hole in the universe, but she also leaves waves of positivity that touched all who knew her.
