Mary Jo Riggs Obituary
Mary Jo was born to the late Timothy and Agnes Beckman Naughton in Louisville. She worked in customer relations for the Louisville Water Company, where she would later retire. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and a 1942 graduate of Louisville Girls High. Her passions included playing the piano, dancing and socializing with her retirement group the Drip Drops.
Survivors include her children, Brent (Diane) Riggs, Andrea (Chris) Riggs Heavrin, Brian (Teresa) Riggs, Dennis (Patty) Riggs and Don (Karen) Riggs; grandchildren, Leah, Kara, David, Emily, Kyle, Jenny, Marie, Kevin, Allison, Aaron, Aidan, Geoff and Lauren; seven great-grandchildren and family friend, Sr. Rose Andrew Waller.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband of 62 years, Benny Riggs; and half brother, T.J. Naughton.
Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at Ratterman & Sons Funeral Home, 3800 Bardstown Road. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at Holy Family Catholic Church with burial to follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may take the form of donations to Nazareth Home. Mary Jo's family is extremely grateful for the loving support provided by the Nazareth Home staff during the past three years.

Don, After all these years I never knew you got your musical talent from your mom. I'm sure your mom was very proud of how you use that talent in service to others. You and all your mom's family are in our prayers. I'm sure it's a grand reunion in heaven with your dad.
