Read MoreI spent many hours in the Behrens household playing with Ellen when the family lived on both Central St. and Holly St. Shooting basketball on the goal attached to the out building on Holly was always competitive. Ellen was a kind and thoughtful person from her early years as a young girl. I was fortunate to have her as my friend.

I was saddened to hear of Ellen's death. Though I did no see her again after I graduated from Broadway High in 1958 I remember her well. Ellen was always friendly.
