Mary K. Slick, 72, passed away May 24, 2022. She was an Asset Manager for Indiana Bell Telephone retiring in 2000 after over 30 years of employment. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Edna May Daum; brother, Michael Daum; sisters, Pamela Dundee and Amy Larsen; sister-in-law, Sharon (David) Pike; 1 nephew and 1 niece. She is survived by her husband, J. Scott Slick; children, Craig Hale, Amanda (Tim) Ogburn, Abby (Auguste) Turnier; brother, Albert (Donna) Daum; sisters, Rita Hellums and Elizabeth Daum; sister-in-law, Kim Wilson; brother-in-law, Wayne Dundee and Steve (Elaine) Slick; 4 grandchildren, Mikah, Jake, Josh and Rachel; survived by several nieces and nephews. I had the pleasure and privilege of knowing Mary for over five decades. I met her and her sister Pam at the same time, when we all worked an after-school shift at a small factory in Illinois. It was my pleasure to become part of the Daum family by marrying Pam in 1966. Because of her closeness to Pam (only a year apart) I got to know Mary well. Our relationship at first was a bit scrappy, but over time we became close too -- even with geographic distance separating us ... Mary was the fist...
