Mary "Katie" Kelly

I am so sorry to hear of her death. Katie babysat my T1D daughters for a few weeks the summer before last - she was a sweet girl and my daughters had a lot of fun with a babysitter who had the same pump they did.

I was just told of Katie's passing, and feel so very sorry for your loss. I will always remember Katie as one of my favorite 2nd grade students. So cute and happy, and resilliant. A reflection of the love and stength your family gave her. I remember with a smile how she came back to visit me when she was in 4th grade or so...she could still recite the Presidents in "abc" order...what what was more amazing to me and my class.....was that she then recited them in backwards order from w...

I was so sorry to hear about Katie. She was such a warm, kind and spiritual person. She will be greatly missed.

My beautiful niece Stacey Valkenburg lost her battle with CF in 2010 at the age of 24. I have made a donation to the CFF in Katie's memory and Stacey's. God bless them both and you.
