Mary Kilker

I'm so sorry to hear of "Miss Donahue's" passing.
I was also one of her students at Holy Ghost.
She was a wonderful teacher and touched the heart of many students.

Mr. Kilker, I was a student of Miss Donaghue's for 7th and 8th grade at Holy Ghost School. She went above and beyond for us and gave us experiences we never would have had if she had not been our teacher. She was kind, generous, strict, and fair. Today - I am a teacher, too. And there are many things that I do and share with my students that I can only attribute to my being a student of hers. I am so sorry for your loss.

I want to share condolences and gratitude to Mary's awesomely devoted Thom, to their big, wonderful families and to their supportive friends and neighbors. Thank you all for doing what you did to care for and love Mary. Although like me, each one of us would say she gave us so much more than we ever gave her. She was that kind of person, delightful, generous, always seeing the best in others. We are all better for having known her. Thank you, Mary. We love you, we will miss you.

We are deeply saddened by the passing of this beautiful, gentle soul. Always a sparkle in her eyes and a smile for everyone. Our thoughts and prayers are with you, Thom and our prayers that Mary may Rest in Eternal Peace.

I am so saddened to hear of Mary's passing. She and I were good friends at Notre Dame Elementary, and we spent many wonderful hours after school together at her parents home. So very sorry to read of Mary's passing. "Miss Donahue" was my favorite teacher. I had the pleasure of being her student at Holy Ghost School in 7th and 8th grade, back in 1980-81. I remember her as a kind and dedicated teacher, who encouraged me to do my very best. My condolences to her family. May she rest in peace.
