Not sure what to say?

Both our children now 22 and 29 were lucky to have Mary as their first grade teacher at Joslyn. What a great teacher! I also was lucky to get to know Mary and take college classes with her at UNO. Thank you Mary.

All 3 of my children were blessed to have Mary as their 1st grade teacher. They absolutely adored her as did we as parents. Her love and patience was abounding in the classroom. We were honored to have known Mary and our childrens lives were that much richer because of her.

The Roberts Family

Though Mrs. King wasn't my teacher, she was a very very special teacher. She had a light that shown very bright and touched many lives including my own. I am so fortunate to have known her and spent time with her as I grew up at Joslyn Elementary. The lessons she taught all students, even those not in her class stay with us always. I am so sorry for your loss. I am a science teacher now and recently spent time teaching my students about energy. And the law which states... Energy can neither...

Sincere sympathy to Mary's family . Remembering good times with her and the King family many years ago

My thoughts and prayers to all of Mary's family. She was always such a great friend and classmate. Always kept us laughing. I will miss her.

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.

To all the Butalla family. I am so saddened to hear this. We have special memories of wonderful times with Mary and all of you. Take care. My prayers are with you.

Mrs. King was a wonderful teacher! Joslyn first grade was extra special because of her! I remember her brown coffee mug that was always full of coffee and her willingness to always have a stack of paper for us to help her "grade"! Being a teacher now, I appreciate the relationship that she had with so many of her students. She will be greatly missed by all the lives she has touched!

Mrs. King was my 1st grade teacher. And will always be my most favorite teacher. I remember so much about her class still today. What a special lady.
